Women Of Grace Summer Rettreat!

 Hilton Head! 

This was our first Women of Grace Summer Retreat, and it was wonderful! Even though it start our HORRIBLY!!! Long story short during the first night the power went out in the hotel, and once it came back on the fire alarm went off for a few more hours! this was like an 8 hour ordeal!

 Anywho! after all that madness and piling 7 college girls into one hotel room Thursday night we woke up early Friday to head to the beach! Only to realize it was raining :-( but with bathing suits already on we decided to go shop for a few hours then when it cleared up we'd head the beach. So after a few hours of some really good outlet mall shopping we grabbed some Subway and headed to the water, AMAZING! 

 After that it was off to shower and change before heading out for some amazing cajun food with some pretty awesome girls! We then started our conference and heard from Mrs. Judy and Mrs. Lelia, two amazing, women of God and i was touched by each of their messages. Expectantly during Mrs. Lelia's talk when she announced we would be having our feet washed. As this started i was certainly over whelmed at the thought of having Mrs. Lelia wash my feet, even though she didnt end up doing it, having Judy Banks wash my feet didnt make me any less of a basket case!!! Its such a humbling expirence, i look up to both those women so much! as well as all the other women, that participated in washing feet. Saturday was no less emotion filled, i am a cry baby so that is not suprising, and seeing so many women of Grace come together to lay hands on and pray for one of our own having a very hard time was so powerful! The college girls had already had a coming to Jesus meeting about this situation but to see all the other women join in was so amazing! I think this weekend really bonded a lot of us, which something many of us needed.  Im so thankful for this weekend, and for my church family.

And I'm even more thankful that i will be at the beach again this weekend with Miss Audra Kate!!!

 

I have another blog on my heart but will probably post it later on today....thankful for a car ride home from the beach, and the ability to talk out relationship and the type of guy i need with some great girls :-)
